This Residual Policy serves as the definitive framework for all matters not expressly detailed in other sections of this prospectus or the school's official handbooks. It upholds the institution's right to interpret, decide, and act in the best interest of its students, staff, and educational mission.

Scope & Authority

The School Governing Council and the Principal retain the sole authority to:
Address situations, contingencies, or disputes not covered by existing written rules.
Interpret the spirit and intent of all school policies.
Take appropriate administrative, academic, or disciplinary action as deemed necessary.

Key Policy Areas
 Conduct and Discipline

• The school's Code of Conduct outlines core expectations. For any unenumerated act of misconduct, the school will assess its impact on the safety, morals, and educational environment of the school community.
• Actions deemed injurious to the moral tone or disciplined functioning of the school are liable for disciplinary measures, including suspension or dismissal, at the discretion of the Principal.

School Property and Resources

• Students and parents are financially responsible for any loss or damage caused to school property, infrastructure, or resources, whether accidental or deliberate.
• The school reserves the right to recover the full cost of repair or replacement, and to withhold official documents until such obligations are met.

Fee and Financial Management

• The Governing Council reserves the right to revise the fee structure and introduce necessary new charges with due notice, to account for rising operational costs, mandatory statutory revisions, or enhancement of facilities.
• All financial disputes or queries will be resolved as per the records maintained by the school's accounts department, whose decision shall be final.

Academic and Administrative Decisions

• All internal academic evaluations, promotion criteria, and teacher assignments are final.
• The school's decisions regarding class allocation, subject streams, and extracurricular placements are binding.
   

Policy on Unforeseen Circumstances

In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, civil unrest, pandemics, government directives), the school management is empowered to:

Alter the academic calendar, mode of instruction, or examination patterns.

Close the premises temporarily for safety.

Implement alternative protocols to ensure continuity of education and student welfare.

Amendments and Updates

The School Governing Council reserves the unconditional right to amend, supplement, or update any policy, rule, or regulation contained in this prospectus at any time. All changes will be communicated to parents and students through official channels and will be binding.
All matters and legal disputes concerning the institution shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Dumraon, Buxar only.
Disclaimer & Final Authority: The Principal's decision, in consultation with the Governing Council, on all matters arising from or related to this Residual Policy and the general administration of the school shall be final and binding. By enrolling their ward at Uma Vidyalayam, parents/guardians unequivocally agree to abide by all stated and residual policies of the institution.
